Women Who Podcast: Allison and Julie from Podlander Drunkcast

“We're a niche market, but the opportunity to connect with other people, was a really big draw. It certainly increased our support level, but also was just such a boon to us personally, and to a lot of other folks, to have this community of weirdos who wanted to joke around and do all kinds of wild things.

“I'm so grateful to Patreon for making it easy, not only to offset the costs of making the show that we love doing so much, but also for making it so much easier to connect with the community. I don't know how else that would have come about. I'm so grateful for it.”

Our featured podcast hosts in this episode are Allison Shoemaker and Julie Starbird, hosts of Podlander Drunkcast.

This is a slightly longer episode than normal and one that I actually recorded a couple of months ago but due to my own episode time limit of 25 minutes I didn’t want to edit this one.

And so with a focus now on talking about the podcasting process, things like Patreon, mistakes made, etc, I wanted to get this conversation heard.
